God’s Word

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

New Creations

Picture… Seven days a week, people stream into this church building, participating in ministries which have flowed out of the good news of Jesus Christ.

Seven days a week, people stream out of this building into the community to live in Christ’s name and to serve their neighbor in his name and shine the light of his promises through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Lent is a time of reflection, prayer and consideration for Christian believers.

Why… We observe and participate in the 40 Days of Lent to reflect upon how to live as the new creations which Christ has made all who believe and live in Christ’s name.
We gather. We worship. We pray. We ask. We reflect. We discern what God has done and what God is doing in us and through us. We are changed people. It is God’s work, not our own, that none of us should boast, Paul reminds us.

We are changed. We are new creations. Changed lives change lives. We pray that the Holy Spirit would deepen the change that has begun.

Connect… This Lent, may God do a work in you. Pray. Gather. Worship. Study. Share your story of change. Open your heart and Spirit to the God who changes lives and makes us new creations.

Prayer… Lord, make me a new creation. Amen.
