God’s Word

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” —John 10:10

MOPS

Picture... MOPS encourages, equips, and develops mothers of preschoolers to realize their potential as women, mothers and leaders in the name of Jesus Christ.

Description… The CELC MOPS chapter meets once a month during the school year. Childcare is provided so the Moms can connect with each other, learn something new, and listen to an inspirational speaker. The remaining topics for this year include: “Parenting with Grace,” “Seeking the Lord-in your Laundry,” and “The Importance of Praying for your Children.”

Why… Mothering matters. While many organizations focus on making a better world for our children, we focus on making better children for our world. How? By meeting the needs of our mothers because when we impact a mom, we impact a child and ultimately, impact the world.

Lives Are Changed… Many Moms have grown spiritually in this non-threatening environment and realized that they do not have to go through this season of life alone.

Connect… Mothers with children from birth to six years are encouraged to connect in Christian community through MOPS. Other people can help by assisting with MOPPETS childcare, providing snacks or donating craft supplies, teaching a creative activity, speaking, or becoming a mentor.

Prayer… Lord, help us reach more Moms in the community. Help us to continue to create more Christ-centered families. Amen.
