God’s Word
God’s Word
“He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.” - John 1:8
Like John the Baptist
Picture… We like John the Baptist, are not the source of God’s light; we merely reflect that light. Jesus Christ is the true light. He helps us see our way to God and shows us how to walk along that way.
But Christ has chosen to reflect his light through his followers to an unbelieving world, perhaps because unbelievers are not able to hear the full blazing glory of his light first hand.
The word “witness” indicates our role as reflectors of light to others but are always to point them to Christ, the light.

I like meeting new people and in the process of conversation find out what talents or interested they have.
Then I give their name to the appropriate ministry leader and encourage the leader to call and invite this person to be a part of their ministry.
Lives Are Changed… Being involved and part of a ministry helps people feel welcome and they are part of the church community.
Connect… Anyone can get involved by signing one of the hospitality sheets by the information booth, talking to the person in the Information Booth about the ministry they are interested in or by calling Darlene Pearson at 689-4312.
Prayer… Dear Lord, help each one of us to use the gifs and talents you have given us to shed the light of your love on those around us no matter where we are. Amen.
